Verisure Partners with Ting Labs to Bring Electrical Fire Prevention to Europe

Geneva-based security monitoring provider Verisure announced on September 28, 2026 an exclusive partnership with U.S. company Ting Labs to bring Ting’s electrical fire prevention technology to customers across Europe, according to Verisure’s press release and a report from Security Systems News.

    How the Technology Works

Ting’s plug-in sensor analyzes electrical activity within a home, monitoring roughly 30 million electrical signals per second from a single outlet to detect dangerous arcing, an early warning sign of faults that can lead to fires. The technology currently protects more than 1.4 million homes in the United States and is backed by more than 40 insurance carriers. Under the agreement, Ting Labs will supply the underlying technology, firmware, cloud platform and fire safety tools, while Verisure will manufacture a Europe-ready version of the sensor and handle sales, installation, monitoring and customer support through its Alarm Receiving Centres.

    Market Context

The partnership marks Ting Labs’ first expansion outside North America. Verisure cited data showing electrical faults account for an estimated 25 to 30 percent of domestic fires in the European Union, with roughly 273,000 electrical-origin fires occurring annually and causing an estimated €6.25 billion in property damage. The new service is intended to complement Verisure’s existing fire protection lineup, which includes connected smoke alarms and AI-powered detection features. Verisure and Ting Labs said commercial availability in Europe is expected in early 2027; pricing and specific launch markets have not yet been detailed.
